Nixon's Profile

Nixon was born 19th September 1984 in Lugazi. He has a brother and sister and was raised my his mum. School fees were difficult, but due to sponsorship by Compassion International he was able to go to school and complete his A- level studies.

Nixon started a Computer Science course at Mego Technical Institute but had to leave before the end of the course due to lack of fees. He then returned to his home town of Lugazi. He has been a member of Lugazi Pentecostal Church where he was particularly involved with Youth Ministries.

Nixon joined YWAM (Youth With A Mission) on a Discipleship Training course in 2007 and has been at Discovery Centre since January 2008.

Nixon has responsibility for the Education Centre at Discovery.

Nixon loves music and is a prolific songwriter, having written nearly three hundred songs. He writes songs (Gospel) in many different styles including, hip hop, R&B, worship and Gospel dance music. He has produced an album called "Ebyobulokozi."

Nixon is looking forward to encouraging children from local villages to visit Discovery Centre and use music and performing arts to challenge lifestyles and make good decisions in life.

Gospel Music Award Artists

D.C. Gospel Music Awards

Over 250 people attended the D.C. Gospel Music Awards Ceremony held in the main hall of YWAM's Hopeland base. ( The event was to big to be held in Discovery Centre's building). 34 artists took part and awards were given for the best performances.
