The main purpose of the Education Centre is to be a resource for local schools in the surrounding area of Discovery Centre, also to facilitate linking activities between schools in Uganda and other countries and to become a excellent base for groups to carry out field studies and study tours.

The Education Centre is a two storey structure, which has a ground floor resource area and a comfortable lounge area in which to relax. On the upper floor there is a conference room that can accommodate over eighty people, this is well equipment with audio and projection facilities. Also on the upper floor there is a computer room with a network of internet connect computers.

From the verandahs of the Education Centre there are excellent views over Lake Victoria and the surrounding countryside. There are many trees and grassy areas around the Education Centre which make for it very appealing for "breakout activities" .
