Discovery Centre is a unique residential facility on over 20 acres of ground close to Lake Victoria in Uganda. The project is run in partnership with UK registered charity Adventure Projects Trust and YWAM (Youth With A Mission), Uganda. It was established in 1994 as a response to the dire situation in regard to AIDS in the country at that time. Through its educational, recreational and sporting activities it has influenced many young people, providing them with an environment in which they can find the opportunity to release their potential as whole people, in respect of their physical, emotional, social and spiritual well being.

In addition to this Discovery Centre has welcomed many visitors, both individuals and teams of people from countries outside of Uganda. Discovery Centre serves as an excellent base from which to get to know the country and its people. In particular strong links have been established between Ugandan and UK schools through the Uganda-UK Schools Linking Partnership. (U-UKSLP)

Good progress is being made on the Education Centre, the main constrction work is now finished. A road way to the building was recently laid down together with landscaping the surrounding area. A little internal work now remains to be done, followed by furnishing and equipping the building ...more

It has been very busy at Discovery Centre recently so as an apprectiaon of all they have done the staff had a day out to relax. They went to Sipi Falls which is about a three hour drive from the Centre. Uganda is a very beautiful country .
