
Castle Primary is located near to the centre of Northampton close to the site of the former Northampton castle, hence its name. There are 370 pupils on role between the ages of 3-11 years old. Within the school there are currently thirty-six different languages spoken. 45% of the pupils are from Bangladeshi origins, 25% Eastern European, 25% White British and a sprinkling of pupils from African countries including Somalia, Nigeria and Zimbabwe. It is a very high performing school and specialises in Drama, Arts and Sporting activities. Fairfield Special School Fairfield is a special school providing education, therapies and specialist facilities for pupils with severe or profound learning difficulties and/or physical, medical, multi-sensory and communication difficulties. The school is located just over a mile from the centre of Northampton. There are 70 pupils on the roll. Silverstone Schools Federation Silverstone is a village has a population of about 2000 people and is roughly equidistant from Northampton, Milton Keynes and Banbury. In 2004, its two schools, Silverstone Infant School and Silverstone C.E. Junior School became federated, with one Head teacher and one Governing Body. This enabled the excellent liaison between the two schools to continue, whilst retaining the individual identity of each. There are 173 pupils on the role Whitehills Primary School The school is located on the northern edge of Northampton and was built in 1969, however since then has undergone a major refurbishment programme. There are 447 pupils on role between the ages of 4 and 11 years old. There is A broad curriculum is offered enriched by additional “Clubs” which include choir, gardening, Spanish, football, gymnastics, netball, crafts, cookery and recorders. It has a project with Tunisia. Woodnewton - A Learning Community The school is located to the north of Corby in Northamptonshire. It has over 750 pupils on the role between the ages of 3-11 years old. The school opened in 2006 following the successful amalgamation of the previous infant and junior schools. It includes a fully designated Children’s Centre on site designed to improve the lives of children, parents, families and community members. The Children’s centre includes a nursery for 56 children.
