The first leg of the British Council funded primary teacher exchange programme recently took place with teachers travelling to Uganda from some Northamptonshire primary schools. These included Castle Primary, Fairfields Special School, Whitehills Primary, Silverstone Schools Federation, Woodnewton (Corby) and Meadowside Primary (Burton Latimer). It is fair to say that all found the experience very rewarding if not challenging at times, and in some peoples' lives it made a strong, if not profound impact on how they percieve the world around them. The second leg of the exchange takes place from the 22nd September to the 1st October when the Ugandan colleagues make the return visit to the UK.
